Person-centred Counselling

Is coping becoming a real struggle? It’s OK. I’ll help you work through all kinds of life’s difficulties. Perhaps you’ve suffered a loss or need bereavement counselling. Or maybe you’re nervous about an impending driving test or an exam (trivial to some, but not to you or me). With my Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (person-centred), I’ll help ease the pain you’re going through. I also have experience of counselling adults with learning disabilities.

Carl Rogers developed the person-centred approach to counselling and psychotherapy back in the 1940’s and 50’s. He argued that when clients are able to ‘direct’ the therapy themselves, they generally make better progress than when they are told what to talk about.  Join me for person-centred counselling and you’ll find I don’t give advice or tell you what to do. Instead, I’ll work with you to teach you to trust yourself and realise your potential.
